ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY COLLEGE, GHANA (IUCG)
ADMISSIONS FOR THE 2010/2011 ACADEMIC YEAR
REGULAR / WEEK-END PROGRAMMES
It is announced for the information of the general public that the process of admission into the Islamic University College, Ghana
The following are programmes (regular / week-end available for the 2010/2011 Academic Year:-
- Bachelor of Arts Religious Studies
- Bachelor of Arts Communications Studies.
- Bachelor of Science Management Information Systems
. - Bachelor of Business Administration
with options in: - Accounting
- Banking & Finance
- Marketing
- Human Resource Management
Interested and qualified persons are welcome to apply. The qualifications for entry are the same as those for the state universities in Ghana and are as follows:-
- Holders of the General Certificate of Education/School Certificate (London) with credits (or better) passes in, at least, 5 subjects at the Ordinary Level. Candidates must also have three passes at the Advance Level and one of them should, at least, be at grade D. A pass in General Paper at Advance Level shall be required.
- Holders of Senior High School Certificate (WASHSC) of WAEC with passes in core English, core Mathematics, core science and three elective subjects with an aggregate score of 24 or better.
- Holders of the West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSSCE) of WAEC with passes in core English, core Mathematics, core Science and three elective subjects with an aggregate of 24 or better.
- Holders of DBS Certificates.
- Foreign students with qualifications equivalent to those in (a), (b) and (c) above may be considered for admission. They must, however, show evidence of proficiency in English Language.
- Mature applicants with a minimum age of 25 years who do not necessarily satisfy the criteria in (i) but have demonstrated ability for academic work, may be considered for admission. Such applicants shall have to pass a University Entrance examination.
Mature Examinations
The mature candidates entrance examination will be written on 3rd October, 2010 at the IUCG campus.
How to Apply
Application Forms are obtainable from the Administration, Islamic University College, Ghana East Legon, near Adjiringanor, opposite JORGIS ESTATES at a fee of GH¢50.00 (US$70.00 for non-Ghanaians.
Completed application forms should reach the address below before or by 12th October, 2010.
